Capt. John McDonough

Prior North East Regional Director

Owner and Founder of McDonough Marine Surveyors, Captain John McDonough AMS® has over 25 years in the marine repair field as a gasoline and diesel engine propulsion systems technician. He has sailed thousands of off shore miles including a Trans Atlantic crossing. For the last 25 years, Captain McDonough has been surveying vessels professionally. He is a member in good standing with The American Boat And Yacht Council, The Society Of Accredited Marine Surveyors®, and formerly held a US Coast Guard 100 Ton Masters License with a Sail and Tow Endorsement. As a member of SAMS®, he continually attends educational seminars. Captain McDonough is on Acadia Insurance Company's and Boat Us' Preferred Surveyors List and additionally performs Marine Claims Investigations for numerous insurance companies.

Aaden McDonough
Surveyor Associate

Aaden McDonough is a Surveyor Associate in good standing with SAMS®. He began understudying in 2017. Having learned from the industry's best, he is proud to work under his father, Captain John McDonough. With a keen eye for detail, Aaden has been trained to perform all marine surveys provided by McDonough Marine Surveyors.
